To bring knowledge of Hinduism
Hinduism is a religion which has its origin from unknown period. We believe its origin could had been gone beyond the present world as it is stated there are Yugas and at the end of each Yuga the world changes from one type to another. Speaking of Yuga, there are Four Yugas – Kiretha, Thiretha, Dhwapara and Kali. In total it is stated as “Chathur Yuga” (Chathur means Four). Like this several Chathur Yugas passed. (The details are not given here). Any way, now the fourth yuga, Kali Yuga is going which has a total of 432,000 years and of which only 5113 have passed.
Telling all these, the Hindu Religion proves its unmemorable period of its origin. We can only imagine the immeasurable quantum of events and the treasures in a religion of such longevity.
The teachings are vast and many sages and saints contributed and enriched its values. Even the name Hindu and Hinduism are of late introduced ones and its native name is ‘SANATANA DHARMA’. Actually speaking it is not a religion but full of ethics and philosophy that teach how the human life should be lead.
Though there are much of publications on Hinduism, it is difficult to search for them and study. But in the modern world it is easy for every body to get readily what they want. It is a boon publishing an e-magazine on Hinduism to those who want to know about the religion. In this regard, the e-magazine titled AMRITHA VARSHINI now fulfills the requirement.
Though it comes since January, 2012 on a monthly basis, and only three issues were published its progress and presentation are unbelievable. It has the reason for its wonderful growth. It covers almost every unit in Hinduism and everybody could enjoy their favorites. It tells about Vedas, Upanishads, Histories of Sages and Saints, Puranic events, Music and Dance related to Hinduism etc. etc.
I believe it serves dual functions, on one side it enriches the knowledge of Hinduism to Hindus and on the other it gives much information to people with other religious faiths.
